Assistance Publique-Hôpitaux de Paris, Hôpital Necker-Enfants Malades – Paediatric unit
The French National reference centres for rare pediatric rheumatology diseases (RAISE) and immmune deficiencies (CEREDIH) have developed an expertise in the fields of juvenile idiopathic arthritis, pediatric-onset connective tissue diseases and vasculitis, autoinflammatory syndromes (RAISE), primary and secondary immune deficiencies, hematopoietic stem cell and gene therapy (CEREDIH), which are recognised at the national and international levels.
Thanks to a network of tertiary care centres in France (including reference centres for adults) and Europe, and links with patients/family associations, the number of cases seen and treated is increasing year after year. Difficult cases can be easily discussed or referred and the best resources are available, with the involvement of multidisciplinary teams.
The RAISE and the CEREDIH are located in the pediatric immunology, hematology and rheumatology unit in Necker-Enfants Malades university hospital, Assistance Publique Hôpitaux de Paris, Paris, France, which is one of the largest university hospitals for children in Europe (all subspecialties are present, 40 reference centres for rare diseases represented), specialised departments for adults and also, within Necker hospital, the IMAGINE institute with all the resources of diagnosis and highly specialised research teams in the fields of immunology and genetic diseases.
