Klinikum der Universität München – Paediatric unit
In the Immunodeficiency Unit children and particular adults with inborn primary and acquired secondary disorders of immunity are diagnosed and treated. Primary and secondary immunodeficiencies lead to a variety of problems and disorders, and particularly they can cause autoinflammation, autoimmunity and immunodeficiency. Diagnosis and Treatment of immunodeficiencies is complex, individual and integral.
The Immunodeficiency Unit closely cooperates with the Immunological Diagnostics Laboratory, the Division of Paediatric Infectious Diseases, the Paediatric Unit for Stem Cell Transplantation, the Division of Paediatric Pneumology, the Division of Paediatric Gastroenterology and the Kubus Research Centre at the Dr. von Hauner Children’s Hospital . In the Immunodeficiency Outpatient Service (IDA) and the Day-care Ward at the Dr. von Hauner Children’s Hospital intravenous and subcutaneous immunoglobulin replacement is done and specific immunomodulatory biological are applied.
