The European Society for Gene and Cell Therapy (ESGCT) seeks to honour impacting, significant and lasting contributions to the field of gene and cell therapy. They created an award structure that acknowledges achievements at student level all the way to eminence in longer-standing careers.
The nominations for this year’s ESGCT Career Progression Award and Early Career Investigator Award are now open. The awardees win €1000, and receive complimentary registration and present a plenary lecture at this year’s ESGCT Annual Congress in Brussels.
Career Progression Award
The Career progression Award is presented to early- to mid-career researchers (those who are 3-10 years after obtaining their PhD). The award recognises scientific excellence and achievements within the gene and cell therapy sector, and those who are judged to have potential to be future leaders in their fields.
Early Career Investigator Award
The Early Career Investigator Award recognises the contributions to the gene and cell therapy field and impact of research carried out by early career researchers (from PhD through to 3 years post-doc).
Nominees for both awards must be members of the ESGCT, and may be nominated by two or more members of the society. Nominations must be submitted by 30th June 2023.
