Mobility Programme

The ERN RITA Mobility Programme is an exciting initiative designed to promote knowledge exchange, enhance collaboration, and empower junior medical professionals in the field of immune disorders. This programme enables junior professionals to visit leading healthcare providers (HCPs) within the ERN RITA network, gaining invaluable hands-on experience and expanding their expertise.

Programme Overview

The ERN RITA Mobility Programme aims to facilitate professional development by enabling junior medical professionals to participate in short-term exchanges at HCP centres within the ERN RITA network. Through this programme, juniors will enhance their clinical skills, broaden their understanding of immune disorder management, and forge meaningful connections with experts from across Europe.

This initiative is also an excellent opportunity for HCPs within the ERN RITA network to share their expertise, strengthen their ties with other institutions, and foster international collaboration in the field.

Who Can Participate?

  • Visiting Juniors:
    • Medical professionals employed by an ERN RITA member/AP
    • Junior medical professionals who are officially recognised as such by a relevant scientific society.
    • Juniors who are not yet members or are unsure of their eligibility are encouraged to contact ERN RITA for case-by-case eligibility assessment.
  • Host Healthcare Providers (HCPs):
    • HCPs within the ERN RITA network with expertise in immune disorders and a willingness to collaborate with juniors.
    • Interested HCPs should express their interest to ERN RITA as soon as possible to be listed as potential hosts on the ERN RITA website.

Key Programme Dates

  • Application Deadline for Juniors: 24th January 2025
  • Decision Notification: 31st January 2025
  • Exchange Duration: 3-5 working days (specific to each exchange)
  • Next Programme Round: Announcements for future rounds will be made in October 2025, depending on budget availability.

How It Works

  1. For Visiting Juniors:
Juniors interested in the programme must identify an HCP within the ERN RITA network that they wish to visit. They should confirm the HCP’s availability and express their interest. Afterward, juniors must complete the application form and submit it to ERN RITA by the deadline.
  2. For Host HCPs:
HCPs interested in hosting juniors should express their interest as soon as possible to ERN RITA. HCPs will then be listed on the ERN RITA website as potential hosts, allowing juniors to contact them directly.
  3. Reimbursement:
The programme provides fixed unit costs to cover travel, accommodation, meals, and local transport. The fixed amounts are determined by the duration of the exchange (3-5 working days). No additional reimbursement will be provided beyond the fixed costs.
  4. Formal Agreement:
Once selected, juniors must submit a signed agreement form to ERN RITA, and both the junior and the host must sign the form to confirm the exchange. Reimbursement will not be provided without a signed agreement.

Benefits of Participation

  • For Juniors:
    • Gain hands-on experience in the diagnosis and management of immune disorders.
    • Learn from some of the leading experts in the field.
    • Build a network of professional contacts within the ERN RITA community.
  • For Host HCPs:
