Focus on Kidney Involvement in Clinical Practice

ERN RITA is pleased to support the LeiKa Summer School, a collaborative initiative between Leiden University Medical Center and the Karolinska Institute, both members of ERN RITA. Taking place in early September, this programme is dedicated to enhancing clinical practice in the field of systemic autoimmune diseases, with a particular focus on kidney involvement.
The summer school aims to provide young medical professionals with current insights into the immunological background, clinical presentation, and novel therapeutic strategies for severe systemic autoimmune diseases.
Key Objectives:
- To optimise care for patients with systemic autoimmune diseases, especially in acute and severe cases
- To enhance understanding of the basic immunology underpinning autoimmunity
- To promote multidisciplinary care and inter-specialist collaboration
The programme is open to young professionals with a specific interest in autoimmunity.
