On 7 March 2023 at 12:00, we will have Prof. Dr. Benjamin Terrier from Cochin Hospital.
In this webinar, Benjamin Terrier will talk about how he treats AAV and discuss the following points:
- Rituximab is widely used to induce remission of patients with ANCA-associated vasculitis, even if cyclophosphamide has still a role in some situations.
- Reduced-dose of glucocorticoids has been shown to be noninferior compared to standard dose, with a reduction in the occurence of serious infections.
- Maintenance therapy is required in the majority of patients, and rituximab was demonstrated to be superior than conventional immunosuppressive agents.
Dr. Benjamin Terrier specialises in the management of systemic autoimmune diseases, especially systemic vasculitis. He is affiliated to the Department of Internal Medicine, National Referral Center for Rare Systemic Autoimmune Diseases at Cochin Hospital in Paris, France.
