This joined PReS, ESID, ISSAID, ERN-RITA and PRINTO network’s effort aims to better characterize the clinical phenotype of children having developed a serious inflammatory condition in temporal association with COVID-19. Participation is still possible and highly encouraged for all ERN-RITA members.
In order to better characterize the clinical phenotype of children having developed a serious inflammatory condition in temporal association with COVID-19 in the community, few months ago a joined PReS, ESID, ISSAID, ERN-RITA and PRINTO network’s effort has been started and now the project called HyperPED-COVID, a retrospective observational study with Dr Marco Gattorno as PI, is enrolling.
Currently, more than 280 patients have been enrolled from 30 centres worldwide, and more than 150 patients have already completed and confirmed data. Moreover, 10 additional centres have been activated and are ready to start, and EC submission or activation procedures are still ongoing in other centres.
